Khacho Yulo Ling Buddhist Centre holds a Children's morning once a month for all interested families.
It is always the second Saturday of the month unless there are teachings on that weekend. We start at 10am and finish at noon, cost is by donation.
Venerable Rinchen and Judy Skalicky are the facilitators for the group and both are current blue card holders.
Our sessions include prayers, chanting, meditation and walking meditation followed by an activity such as painting or craft, we then have morning tea and we finish off with storytelling and dedication. Some of our activities include, prayer flag making, rock painting, colouring in, card making and t-shirt painting.
These mornings are a great way to introduce meditation and mindfulness to children at an early stage of their development, ages range from babies to young teens, everyone is welcome but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
